ABOUT ABOUT

As antisemitism and Islamophobia rise and tensions heighten between Muslims and Jews, interfaith dialogue has become more difficult—and more important than ever.

Join us for a revealing conversation with Muslim American Zainab Khan, co-founder and chair of the Muslim American Leadership Alliance; Iranian American Shirin Taber, founder and director of Empower Women Media; and Jewish American Heidi Basch-Harod, executive director of Women’s Voices Now. They will discuss with Moment Editor-in-Chief Nadine Epstein the October 7 terrorist attack against Israel and the war with Hamas, the reaction from progressive organizations, women’s rights groups, and their own communities, as well as how their personal backgrounds inform their interfaith work and why they feel obligated to speak out against antisemitism.

Presented by Moment Magazine in partnership with The WNET Group’s Exploring Hate reporting initiative.

Exploring Hate investigates the roots and rise of hate, here and around the world, and their content appears on all of WNET’s local and national broadcasts and across their digital platforms. The WNET Group is home to THIRTEEN, America’s flagship PBS television station in New York City.

Moment Magazine was founded in 1975 by Elie Wiesel & Leonard Fein. Today the Moment universe is a world of creative thought, innovative programming and stellar journalism. Moment's Antisemitism Project is supported by the Joyce and Irving Goldman Family Foundation.
