Teen Talk: A Conversation with Jewish and Palestinian Teens from Israel

Shortly after October 7 a group of teens, who had been involved in Model U.N. conferences through the Israeli organization Debate for Peace, started meeting twice a week for an online writing program called Writers Matter, designed, and facilitated by a Philadelphia college professor. Through their writing assignments, the teens shared their stories, began processing their feelings and got to know one another. Now several months later, some of these teens and two of their teachers have made their way to the United States to tell their stories. Hosted in Washington, DC by the organization Heart of a Nation, these Jewish and Palestinian teens will share how writing has helped them cope with the war and enabled them to connect with each other. The students will also read some of their writings. In conversation with Moment Digital Editor Noah Phillips.
